This is an opportunity for my students to voice their thoughts on a few recent projects in botany. The students are elementary students who have created some interesting experiments. At first the students studied plant parts and functions then they applied (hopefully) those lessons to later lessons. They have "adopted" a local tree for observation and identification, taken observational and anecdotal records of the germination process...and now have designed some interesting plans for their sprouts...and those are the entries that follow.

Today we put sugar in one of our plants. We will follow it's progress closely. Will sugar kill the plant or double it in size? That's our main question.
We are going to pour Carbonated Water into our molded plants and see what happens to it.What do you think will happen as a result?
